Multiverse Gaming Official Imperial Announcement
Hello all,
Following on from the positive reactions and enquiries about the return of Imperial on the previous discussion thread and in private, senior management have decided to officially begin development on the return of an MVG Imperial server. As recently as a few years ago, MVG had multiple prospering servers across Gmod, and as one of the longest running communities, we wish to continue to grow and continue to give positive servers back to the players.
Why do this?
- Clone Wars is in a strong position, with a stable player count of 80-90+ on peak
- There has been lots of interest surrounding Imperial, including from those not even currently playing within MVG anymore
- Other Imperial servers are lacking in numbers, and quality
- MVG has a strong history regarding Imperial

What about Clone Wars?
Clone Wars is currently in a very strong position. Many major developments have been implemented, and the server is in capable hands for future changes with the current dev team. There may be concerns about losing players to Imperial and while initially this may happen due to the excitement a new server brings, should Imperial be unable to sustain itself over the long-run and bring in new players to the community, then a decision will be made on what is best for the future of the community, however we anticipate a success.
When will it release?
There is NO ETA as of yet. However, it will release in the not so distant future, and as development progresses, updates will come.
What will you do for ranks and staff?
Once Imperial is closer to release, a forum section for Imperial will be made and you will be able to apply for IC positions and Staffing positions.
Current Status
Development is underway and there is still a way to go, however we are able to share details on the following critical aspects of the server:
Weapons System [ARCCW] - Those familiar with Clone Wars' new weapons system will understand this system. This is the natural progression from TFA and a great weapons system for functionality and performance.
Structure of regiments and IC as a whole - This is the main structure that will be followed, there may be some small changes made to this:
(There will be some form of Medical Leadership)
(Added on Note about Inquisitors - the ranks to the right are Special Forces ranks e.g. Scorch = CO, Kreel = XO, not Inquisitor equivalents - They do not have equivs)
Regiment Loadouts - Again this structure and the weapons in place may change slightly, but this is the main setup (no stats or weapon balance to be displayed at the moment)
(Special Forces - Loadouts TBC, general idea of loadouts listed)
(Bounty Hunters Guild - Loadouts TBC)
(Inquisitors - Will be WiltOS based)
Imperial Discord and Regimental Discords - These have been created and are a WIP - they will be available to join closer to server release
Map - rp_stardestroyer_v2_7 - Lots of areas for every regiment to take advantage of and a nicely structured and good looking map
Models - Partly due to the limitation of CGI Imperial models, the style of models will be more BF2 based. On later development updates and play tests models will be shown off (you also just cant attach more than 3 images per post..)
As said, there is still a way to go on development, however there will be updates on progress along the way.
Any questions regarding Veteran statuses and donation packages will be addressed in future updates by Deadshot.
