What are your thoughts On Mikealo as Event Master & Yoda

As a former Jedi Gen, seeing the state of it right now is sad though I wouldn't put all of the blame on Mike as most top ranks there seem to be either minges or too inactive to make a difference. The number of active Jedi speaks for itself, I myself was planning to play Jedi again when I returned to the server but thankfully realized quickly that it would just not be enjoyable in any way. As Yoda, he really needs to sort out the people running Jedi but that starts with himself becoming more active on the server.
Another big thing is that the relations between Jedi and other regiments have broken down in recent times. Regimental Jedi was a great thing for keeping Jedi more involved with other regiments but even that was somehow run to the ground not to mention Temple Guards.

The event team is not in the best place right now, to say the least. I think we had more events hosted by the event team back when it was only Yeti and Pombo in there shockingly enough.
What Locho was doing that event was pretty dumb but considering he was just an EE and I in my time I have seen both staff and other event people doing way way worse to ruin events including just turbo lasering the whole map and killing everyone on it I can't really see why he would be punished so severely. You are removing one of the very few actual good event team members that is actively doing events. Sure a punishment would be necessary (Maybe a strike or demotion by one rank) but a straight-up removal seems excessive.
The event master role is good in my opinion and should be kept as to have someone running the event team but when the team is as it is right now then honestly the admins need to step in and take over for some time to set things straight again or at least assist the event master in their job.
 
Nothing to do with Mikealo but I will say, Jedi seems like it has struggled every time with the amount of ranks etc. people forever get bored after getting to rank 3/10 just in specialists, revert it back to the nicer system to work with
 
Right, I just want to clear up a few things.

The decision to remove Locho from the event team and give Keth a strike wasn't made on a whiff by me, I talked to both Seniors and Admins about it.
Seeing as Keth refuses to go into detail I'll post exactly why we made that choice.

The event:
So Keth hosted yesterday's planetary with Locho as an EE. Keth asked Locho to be an EE and got him to agree by offering to give him the icefuse saber.
I joined roughly halfway through the event and was instantly met by Locho picking me up with Force Whirlwind and launching me to the end of the map, where he then just left me. The event continues and Locho keeps using whirlwind and force group choke (this ability can choke 5-10 people at once)
In OOC there were complaints from multiple regiments and Jedi were complaining in group chat. Now for those of you who haven't used the icefuse saber, it's very OP and meant for dev testing. I would say it's way more powerful than the GA pistol.
And so I told Locho to stop using it, which he did not. Then I got a member of staff to spectate him to see if he was going to continue using it. He did this for the entire event even after being told several times to stop using it. Lastly, in DB he decided to randomly kill 5 ppl with it (all 1 shot kills).

Now if you two, Locho and Keth disagreed with my decision to stop you from using it, the proper way to deal with that would have been to just stop using it as a higher ranking has told you to stop and then go complain to for example seniors about my decision.

Now here are the reasons behind both punishments

Locho:
Due to what happened in that event you will be getting removed from the event team

- You've used the Icefuse weapon which from the time in both Jedi and on the server, you know it's strong. The saber is only used for testing force powers.
- After being told to stop using it, you had continued to use it even commenting saying that it's not your event. This is poor representation and isn't condorned within the event team.
- Even when told to not use it, at the end of the event you had continued to use the saber in killing multiple clones.
- You had complaints coming in about the weapon in occ and didn't respond

I've spoken to seniors and admins about this and they agree with my decision

Hello, so you've been given an Event team strike due to your recent planetary.
- You gave your EE (Locho) an extremely overpowered weapon which you knew was OP seeing as you enticed him to be your EE specifically with that weapon
- You did nothing when receiving mass complaints in OOC and when I spoke to you, your argument was that they didn't matter because Jedi was complaining
- You didn't do anything either when Locho was told to stop by me several times

The main argument you two had when I talked to you is that making yourself stupidly OP as EE by giving yourself the icefuse saber isn't written down anywhere. I personally think it's common sense to not make yourself essentially immortal with a weapon that can 1 shot anyone.
I compared what you did to giving your EE the GA pistol or just spamming your turbo laser killing the entire server. You've said the turbo laser isn't the same because it's a tool, not a weapon and as for the GA pistol, apparently someone did that in the past which should make it ok.
Now the reason Locho got the bigger punishment is because he was told directly multiple times to stop using that saber and just ignored that. Yous talk about the event team being in a bad state, how can I improve that when I've got event specialists who refuse to listen. Locho you said to me that there is no written rule saying you must listen to everything I say, is it not common knowledge on the server that you follow the ranking order? Is that not a rule in every regiment and in the staff team?

One more thing your big argument was that you didn't break any rules because they are not written down, do you want a 20-page document with every specific thing you cannot do? the picture at the bottom is Keth complaining directly to Painite where he says the exact same thing. I don't know why you're getting so petty and specifically trying to target me here. Your punishments were not only decided by me.

  1. Here is a direct quote from Painite after that message, where you felt the need to be extra petty by attempting to get other event team members to leave. Clearly, you do not care about the state of the event team as you'd rather everyone leave it than me running it.

The last thing is for events only to be hosted by the event team and not by staff. That would not be my decision, I've made similar suggestions before but they were turned down by Seniors and Admins, so I'm not too sure what you want me to do there. Everyone in the event team meets their quota and I can't just accept 100 people into the event team because then staff would not be able to reach their event quota.

but as far as the amount of -1's in a row, I am genuinely surprised the acting GA or senior staff or someone didn't step in, especially for what used to be the most played donator regiment. Jedi isn't hard to run either, you basically just have to enjoy roleplay and the regiment runs itself.

I never said to remove Yoda, GA can still step in and gain an understanding of the regiments issues, talk to the current players and then do whatever is required to help it out :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

So why blame him? Simple he doesn't stay active enough on the server to even be considered active for his own regiment, So why have him in the highest position for event staff?
If you are event master or whatever the name is called, Yes you aren't meant to do many events HOWEVER you will be expected to give feedback during events, making sure they are running smooth and picking people who can bring creative ideas to the server.
If he can't be active for Jedi how is he meant to be active for Event Lead?, If he is stressing out then help him out and either remove him from one so he can focus on another one.

When it comes to other servers which have both an Event Team and a Staff Team they work it out well, They have the Event team's only job is to host events, whereas they have staff focus on staff things. By the looks and sounds of how Event Team is at the moment is, Event Team is meant to do Events whereas Staffs job is also to do events but also take care of people during the day, so overall you are doing them all wrong, Would focus on fixing the event team so the events staff actually do events and not just wait till they do quota and leave it for a week and leave staff to do staff stuff.

TLDR
Give mike some help in the event role or remove him so he can focus on Jedi.
Have the Event team focus on events and stop letting the Staff team do events, if the Event staff aren't doing events just remove them.
Give Keller Senior admin so he can focus on the Event Team and Staff Team with Painite or have Rush and Deadshot help out on the server.
