Complaint: Senior staff's way of implementing new rules onto the server and the courthouse system.
Summary: I don't think it's a very professnional and frankly fair way to introduce rules by making rules up on the spot then warning people and afterwards making them official once you are proven to be in the wrong. The courthouse system is not fair and people involved are definitly not equal. I have not been given the chance to talk to senior staff once to explain my situation even head admins have not contacted me. Instead they have people that are not involved speak for me.
For example this FearRP/FailRP not valuing life rule (which is only a rule as of today). I was contacted by Jack in a event half a year ago when he wasn't senior staff and a low rank fleet member. He said Rambo rules were going to be a rule for GM Flametroopers, I as GM Commander said fine as long as you also make it official by making an annoucement. Months go by no annoucment is made no rule changes are done. We in GM start to relax and think Jack understood that he was making a bad decision and dropped it. Months go by I get warned for the most ridiculus thing, FailRP not valuing life. No warning nothing was said, just straight warned. What even is valuing life? Are clone troopers not valuing life 24/7 because they are in the army and are getting shot at? My personal opinions on the rule aside, if staff want to make it a rule then make it, it's simply not a rule on the server at that time. So I rightly complained about it. Fast forward to yesterdays event. I clear rooms with jedi, and other GM. I do a small formation on a door with jedi on both sides. We enter the building almost clear it leaving 2 droids. Again without warning I was warned for FailRP not valuing life. At no point did I think I was breaking rules. It's not made clear at all. The reasons given were that If I had stayed two steps back and not used my flamethrower I would not have been warned. What is the point of a CQC regiment if you are not allowed to use CQC tactics? So I'm not breaking rambo rules (which are not a thing yet for clones) I'm breaking being too close to droids? Fighting too many droids at once? What even is the rule break I don't think senior staff can answer this themselves, since this is not what Jack talked to me about half a year ago. Me, GM, noone on the server has been told this is a rule.
Even now my courthouse complaints have been decided on without my involvement. I have to hear the results from people who aren't even staff, no senior staff member has talked to me about my cases. I recommend Staff sit down and go through their own rules to make it clear what they want the playerbase to able to do and not do. This in my opinion is a bad idea since it doesn't increase the enjoyment of the server playerbase, except for certain biased staff members get to stroke their ego by giving out warns.
When I say biased staff members I'm not trying to insult anyone. It is a fact that certain staff members do this, take my example, I was warned but noone else was. I feel because of this these biased staff members shouldn't be involved in these kind of decision making. I know I'm asking to be neutral towards your friends but it is only fair in my humble opinion.
Now I'm also going to give an alternative fix to the courthouse since I really do care about this server. Please for future cases involve the victims. You have to involve both parties invovled, it simply is not fair for either side to only have one side have a voice.
