Suggestion: Remove gm_hightechcity from the map rotation/list

Reason: The map is laggy when a lot of players are on or more than 40 NPCs are placed down, The map is a massive maze and impossible to navigate unless you have a jetpack or a ghook, The map is to open which makes finding your objective a massive pain and makes you walk 20 years [Even with tps it's still bad] and finally the map is to empty with the use of massive dupes which makes everyone lag making certain things really hard or impossible.

I've heard mention that seniors are looking into removing NPC navigation nodes which heavily taxes the server, so I would give -support to this until it's clear the map is terrible even without them.

- Support it this is one of those rare instances that a map is taylored towards WP and I like that as most of the time we don't get a big open city to fly around in. Besides there are far more maps which do the opposite so maybe think of it as a positive it is good for others and not a negative.

As synergy said it is being looked into whether or not the nodes can be removed to improve performance. Additionally you mentioned the map being impossible to navigate but you were given LAAT perms in the last event and refused to use them. The LAAT would've allowed 327th to navigate much easier and therefore also the FL to do the same.

barely have any maps as is, its always the same event maps over and over again an just gets brain rot too fast make it fresh and have more

Good map but the NPC movement on this map is insane. If there is a way to remove the navigation nodes and make NPCs stand still it would perform alot better and its still a very fun map to host events on. Who doesnt like to breach the sewers while being forced to swim.

This is one of the more open maps and one of the few that is a heavily urban environment, if the NPCs were sorted out an lag could be better managed this could be quite a good map as it has a nice mix of ground areas that are both interesting as well as a mix of open and CQC, this map also one of the only that offers some extreme verticality, making it a fun an unique experience for regs with jetpacks like WP as well as those with Ghooks like GC as the multitude of buildings offer amazing sniping positions that some of the smaller and more flat maps lack.

If the issues with it can be fixed.

About the LAAT, myself and several other fleet were struggling to even fly drones due to how bad the map / event was performing and made it quite difficult. So if we was struggling with that, no chance that 327th would fly LAAT's and want to play imo like it was over 200 ping alot of the event so

+support map is extremely laggy, if theres a way to improve performance on the map then absolutely keep it, otherwise it needs to go like

+1

Aside from the frame drops, the city is just a massive maze with no pointers on where you are leaving you to roam the city till you finally come across another regiment who too are lost

putting the lag aside, all that's needed is some pointers since it's such a bit non-linear map. waypoints are a very easy way of doing this, and if people are getting lost it's more of an event host issue than a map issue because it's easily solvable. the lag right now is pretty unbearable but we have a map dev and dandy has said that they're pretty sure they know what the issue is, so instead of being classic MvG and going straight for the nuclear option lets try and sort it out before we just boot it and narrow down our small roster of planets even more

On behalf of the MVG Staff Team this suggestion has been Denied

This has been denied due to the only issue on the map is NPC pathing but outside of that the map is fine, Development team is finding a way to fix the NPC pathing.
